Jean arrived at the concept from living in London and seeing pregnant friends struggling uncomfortably through their pregnancy rather than being looked after and enjoying it. “Women are spoilt for choice as to where to go to obtain treatments that revitalise, relax and polish”, but Jean noticed the most important female demographic was being neglected, when in fact it is they who needed all the pampering & indulgence. Her vision was to develop a service which would help & comfort expectant mothers through their pregnancy. “Pregnancy can be an uncomfortable & terrifying time but the fact of the matter is, it shouldn’t be, it is a condition which can be enhanced with the right treatment, support & care”, says Jean Van Laarhoven, and it is clear she knows what she is talking about.
